Questions about pump of this kind
Q: Why cannot this pump work without water or other fluids?
A: This is determined by the working principle of a pump of this kind: It relies on high-speed rotation of impeller to throw out water in pump body through centrifugal force, achieving the purpose of moving water or increasing water pressure. There is open (not close) space in pump body, so it cannot pump water from outside through absorbing air. There may be irreparable damage to the pump as a result of friction and heat generated by swift rotation of impeller without water. So work without water should be avoided using pump of this kind.
Q: Can this pump work continuously for long time?
A: Yes, it can. Several company-level clients and our own factory have tested that pump of this kind can work continuously for over 1yr under clean water circumstance, while some tests are still going on.
Q: How do we provide suitable power source for pump of this kind?
A: These are DC pump, with rated voltage of 6V/9V/12V/18V/24V/36V/48V (different pumps with different rated voltages), and they have a wide range of working voltage, such as 5-12Vdc or 5-24Vdc, etc. The most prominent feature of DC pump is SAFETY and HIGH EFFICIENCY. Of course, powering way can be various, such as battery, or PV panel, or Connecting to AC source through suitable power adapter.
Q: What should we do if we are not satisfied about the wire length of the pump?
A: We suggest our friends would better not change the length of the pump. Wire is also resistance and will affect the final pump voltage. Over-long or over-short wire will reduce or increase the pump voltage and then affect the pump performance and reliability. So if friends want to change wire length, you?d better change the wire length of power source and keep the wire of pump. If friends have special wire length requirements, you can contact us first. Maybe our factory can customize for you if the condition is OK and of course it needs time. It is not simply cutting or extending the wire and there will be resistor parameter adjustment to get a matching value.
Cautions about usage
@@Working without liquid is prohibited, or it will damage or even burn the pump permanently for high temperature and abrasion.
@@Pumps can normally work when submersible installation or outside installation under the premise of a steady liquid flow into pumps.
@@Try to prevent hard articles entering pumps.
@@Pumps should work under specified temperature, higher temperature can result in magnet demagnetization and circuit performance degration.
@@Circuit polarity cannot be reversed and pumps cannot be directly connected with AC power supply without AC/DC transformer for they are DC pumps.
How to choose the most suitable pump
##Make sure of the working voltage, current, head and flow. Note that head means the maximum height that water can reach inside the external hose of outlet. If you want to get some flow at some height, you should retain a certain margin wtih these parameters. (refer to Head-Flow Curve graph)
##Make sure that the dimension can fit the application, such as the overall size of the pump, whether it is threaded interface, the direction and diameter of outlet and inlet, etc.
##Determine the working environment, such as working temperature, medium, etc.
##Take other requirements into consideration, such as time control, motion control, pressure control, flow control, and speed adjustable.
